OSU Spar2 Drifting Hydrophone TEAMER Open Water Testing

In progress License

This acoustic data set was collected during TEAMER Open Water support testing of a drifting hydrophone system under development by Oregon State University. This drifting hydrophone system will be used for project compliance measurements of underwater noise at the PacWave facility during wave energy converter and other marine energy testing and deployments. The data set consists of acoustic records from 3 OSU Spar2 systems and 1 Ocean Sonics icListen deployed nearby in Sequim Bay. During the deployments, an icTalk sound projector was deployed to record a series of known sweeps and tones below 10,000 Hz and compare received levels. Gain issues with the OSU Spar2 were identified during post-processing of this data and the information is being used to inform design and system refinements.
