ME-HIL: Ocean Observation Buoy model Hardware-in-the-loop Testing
This submission contains all measured and simulated results from the experimental case study done for the ME-HIL's ocean observation buoy (OOB) hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) model. These results were obtained by using the OOB HIL model and using the Hydraulic and Electric Reverse Osmosis Wave Energy Converter (HERO WEC) V1's power take-off to generate power . This setup was mounted to NLR's Large Amplitude Motion Platform (LAMP) with various wave energy states as input.
A text editor or spreadsheet software such as Excel is required to view the *.csv data. The data are also provided in *.mat files. To view data plots, a Matlab script with *.mat files are provided.
This data set has been developed by the National Laboratory of the Rockies, operated by Alliance for Energy Innovation, LLC, for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) under contract No. DE-AC36-08GO28308. Funding provided by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Critical Minerals and Energy Innovation Hydropower and Hydrokinetic Office.
